”Journeys. Impressions. Memories” – a joint exhibit of paintings by Lviv artists Orest Skop and Petro Sypniak

From March 18 (opening at 5:00 pm) through April 7, 2010, at the LvivArt Gallery (21 Lesia Ukrayinka Street, Lviv, Ukraine) -- “Journeys. Impressions. Memories” – a joint exhibit of paintings by Lviv artists Orest Skop and Petro Sypniak.


Orest Skop and Petro Sypniak, both veteran Lviv artists, will be displaying works depicting motifs and themes from their joint travels abroad over the past 20 years. Their trips included stops in France, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Holland and Luxemburg.

Orest Skop was born in 1954 in Lviv. He is a graduate of the Lviv Politechnical Institute, Department of Architecture. He has participated in numerous exhibits in Ukraine and abroad. In 2006, he was awarded the honor of “Merited Artist of Ukraine.” His works can be found in private collections throughout Ukraine and in other countries.

Petro Sypniak was born in 1959 in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, western Ukraine. He is a graduate of the Lviv State Institute for Practical and Decorative Art. He has participated in numerous exhibits in Ukraine and abroad. In 2002, he was awarded the honor of “Merited Artist of Ukraine,” in 2009 – the title of “National Artist of Ukraine.” His works can be found in private collections throughout Ukraine and in other countries.
